I visited Roselle Park tonight at 10:30 to see if I could hear this Yellow Rail that's been hanging around; thankfully, I was not subjected to the cool night air for nothing. I walked to the bench that the other listers have described and managed to hear the rail give its tic-tic, tic-tic-tic call about seven or eight times in the span of half-an-hour. Seeing as this is a lifer for me, I was very glad I made the decision to venture out on this chilly night.

--Thanks to the human heart by which we live,
Thanks to its tenderness, its joys, and fears,
To me the meanest flower that blows can give
Thoughts that do often lie too deep for tears.
