Little Gulls, Iosco County, 4/20/08

Today my son Garrett and I observed two Little Gulls on the far sandbars (mainland side) off Tawas Point at Tawas State Park in Iosco County.  Both individuals were largely by themselves, swimming and walking the spit, and asssociated very little with the Bonaparte Gulls that were moving up and down the bay.
 
Many Long-tailed Ducks were also seen, as well as a single Black Scoter.  Other than kinglets and a few early warblers, the point was rather quiet today.
