Birders,

I saw a single adult SNOWY EGRET in the Lautenshager Unit (Middle Causeway)
of Pt. Mouillee yesterday afternoon at ~ 4 pm. It was roosting in the wet
fields just east of the large ponds. Among it were
dozens of Blue- and Green-winged Teal, Northern Shovelers, and a flock of
(65) Dunlin.

Tree Swallows were out in force, as was the entire NA population of American
Coot. Otherwise, it was very quiet. Extremely windy with choppy waters
till about 6pm.

A Marsh Wren along the Middle Causeway helped me find my lost tripod
leg.....
