Just got back from the Muskegon Wastewater ponds. I saw 3 Eared
Grebes, spread out along the S shore of the E lagoon. There was also
a Horned Grebe in the area.

Also had a Snow Goose at the NW corner of the W pond.

Other waterfowl of note: American Black Duck, American Wigeon,
Ring-necked Duck, Bufflehead, Redhead, Lesser Scaup.

Shorebird habitat is pretty sparse and of poor quality but I had 5
Pectoral Sandpipers, 1 Least Sandpiper, and 2 Lesser Yellowlegs in the
W treatment cell and 2 juv Black-bellied Plovers along the center
dike.

At the Coopersville Wastewater ponds in Ottawa County was 1 adult
Black-bellied Plover.

I'll post some photos of the Eared Grebes on my blog in a while.

Good birding,
