Macomb White Pelican 9-21 - NOT

Birders,

I looked for both the pelican and egrets at around 3:30 p.m. today (Friday, September 21) and did not find them. The boat show at Metro Beach continues through Sunday, so perhaps early morning is the only reasonable time to look for them now as there's a LOT of activity in the park.

  Listers,

  The American White Pelican was present this morning (Friday, September 21) in the North Marsh at Metro Beach Metropark at the east end of 16 Mile Rd in Macomb County. I viewed the bird from the Voyageur Canoe launch from 6:40 to 7:30am and it was still there when I left. Both Snowy Egrets were also visible at the time. Be aware that there is a boat show in progress at the park.
