White Pelican - Yes - Metro Beach Metropark, Macomb County

This Thursday evening at 7:35pm I saw the White Pelican with Marcia
Kubacki and her nephew Stefan as it flew from the Day Sail Boat Launch
area towards the North Marsh.  When I arrived at the North Marsh near
the boat launch at 7:50pm Marcia and Stefan had refound the bird and had
it in the scope for great looks.  It will hopefully be there in the
morning.  My five year old daughter really enjoyed seeing the bird also.
Thanks to Joe Faggan for finding and reporting this bird.
 
BTW -  I did see one Snowy Egret at the North Marsh there on Monday.
