Birders,

At around 0730 this morning, a juvenile SABINE'S GULL passed by
Whitefish Point during the waterbird count. The bird was close to
shore, heading northwest. About 10 minutes later, a juvenile
intermediate-morph PARASITIC JAEGER came in and harassed the gulls at
the point.

Also seen at the point today was a single BLACK TERN, over 700
RED-NECKED GREBES, and a single BUFF-BREASTED SANDPIPER.

For daily waterbird updates and the latest sightings from Whitefish
Point Bird Observatory, I encourage you to visit the Fall Waterbird
Blog and the Staff Blog. You can find the links at www.wpbo.org
underneath the Northern Saw-whet Owl picture.

Good Birding,
Cory Gregory
