Erich Peterson and I had Dave Slager's Lark Sparrow along Callie Dr in
Muskegon County, today 9/3/07 at approx. 1220-1225 hrs. It was associating
tightly with a group of 20+ Chipping Sparrows about 20 feet west of Callie
Rd at the north end of a row of White Pines, on the ground and in the
surrounding trees. It required over 2 hours of patiently looking over the
flocks to see this bird. I obtained several decent photos which will be
posted to my blog later today, along with hints on finding it once you're
there:

We also took part in Chip and Kip's Lakeshore Count which resulted in
today's multiple jaeger sightings (already posted to Mich Listers). We
counted from Little Sable Point, Oceana Co., and had 650+ Common-type Terns,
1 Black Tern, and no jaegers.

Good Birding,
Caleb Putnam
