Red Knot at New Buffalo, Berrien County - 9/03

Sept. 3 - Berrien County

Greetings,

I found a juvenile Red Knot on the public beach at New Buffalo this morning as I was setting up for the Berrien Birding Club's annual Labor Day Waterbird Watch. Fortunately, it stuck around for the duration of the count for all participants to see. When I left about 9:45 a.m. it was still present along the beach on the inner harbor.
