C. Redpoll, Purple Finch. Brooklyn, MI. Jackson, MI.

Greetings Birders,

Sunday, my day off, was a decent day at home. Had 26 species of birds at the feeders. Best of which was the solo Common Redpoll and two Purple Finches. The 26th species of the day (a juvie female Sharp-shinned Hawk), unfortunately (on her second visit to my station) caught the C. Redpoll :-( Too bad for the Redpoll, but cool for the sharpie!! It was cool to watch though. Hopefully, this will be a good finch winter down here.
