Northern Gannet Again at LEMP

Good evening,

FYI - The Northern Gannet made another brief appearance today at Lake Erie Metropark.  It was observed a little past 12:00 noon heading south down the river out to Lake Erie.

I know a few observers have done some stakeouts for this bird.  While the hawkwatch at the Boat Launch is a fine place to do it (more observers), I think the southern end of Lake Erie Metropark, specifically Marina Point, is probably the best place.  Observers have a commanding view of the entire river mouth.
