Northern birds while at Deer camp November 14th thru November 18th: Montmerency area near fairview towards Atlanta, actually close to Cummins:
Red breasted and White breasted Nuthatches; Hairy, Downys, Pileated(4) and Red-bellied;
White-winged Crossbills(5) and Red Crossbills(3); Common Redpolls(6); Pine Grosbeaks(2); Evening Grosbeaks(5); Common Ravens(6); Common Crows(2); Blue Jays; Black-capped Chickadees; Tufted Titmouse(2); Golden-crowned Kinglet(1); Long-eared Owl(1); Rough-legged Hawk(1); Red-tailed Hawk(1); Bald Eagle(1); Northern Goshawk(1); Hermit Thrush(1); Brown Creeper(1); Great-horned Owl(1); Ruffled Grouse(6-12); Cardinal; Robins(4).....These 28 species were seen during the days on the property not all same day some evryday though.
Enroute up and back: Mute Swan; Mallards;Ring-billed Gulls; Canada Geese; Common Goldeneye; Buffleheads; Common mergansers; Hooded mergansers; Red-breasted Mergansers;..... So these 9 make 37 species for trip.
Also seen on property were Red Fox, Coyotes and a Black Bear.
Of course also Deer in which we got 6 on the pole but the birding was good!
