LOTS O' Pine Siskins!

Greetings Birders,

Sunday I had a banner crop of Pine Siskins at my feeders here in Jackson, County. In all, there were rounghly 150 Siskins. Within this groups were 5 common Redpolls. I will be posting some portraits of some Siskins and AM. Goldfinches on my website on Tuesday.

Interestingly, I only had 17 Siskins on Saturday.

Other Finches at the feeders were 3 Purple Finches (1 male and two females types). Also, 30+ AM. Goldfinches were present. Five House Finches rounded out the finch category.

There were Evening Grosbeaks in the neighborhood calling, but did not come to my station.

Three Fox Sparrows continue to vist the feeders as well.
