Listers,

Finally got to chase the Red-throated Loon at Holloway Reservoir and found
it easily with the previously posted directions. In the vicinity I also had a
pair of Common Redpolls in Genesee Co at the feeders in front of 11447 Mt
Morris Rd.

I was able to relocate the juvie Northern Shrike north of Columbiaville near
Marathon Rd & Barnes Lake Rd. Further east off Barnes Lake Rd is one of the
Lapeer State Game Area entrances on Snow Den Trail/Rd. This I am told is a
traditional spot to find Pine Grosbeak during irruption years and today I did
just that. Be aware this is a pretty active deer hunting location.

Rounding out the fun in Lapeer County I stopped by the Vlassic Ponds on
Newark Rd 1 mile west of M-53 on the south side of Imlay City. There were 3
Cackling Geese with the pile of Canadas. I have not been to this spot on a
week/work day but on weekend days you can see about half of the ponds from the gate
on the south side of the complex.

Where are the Bohemians?
