Ducks on Lake Erie

Today 3-10-07, while watching thousands of ducks between Toledo  Beach Marina and 
  Otter Creek in LaSalle, Mich. from 12:30 to 2:30, I saw the following:
   
  Ring-necked Ducks
  Redheads
  Canvasbacks
  Lesser Scaup
  Greater Scaup
  Common Mergansers
  Common Goldeneyes
  Coots
  Great Blue Herons
  Eagles 
  Pied-billed Grebe 
  Green-winged Teals (2)
  Northern Shovelers (3)
   
  I was surprised to see Green-winged Teals and Northern Shovelers on Lake Erie. I have
  been watching birds and ducks for over 15 years from this location and have never seen 
  Northern Shovelers or Green-winged Teals. You can access Lake Erie at this location by
  exiting I-75 at Exit 9 in Monroe County. Take S. Otter Creek Rd. east until it deadends.
  You May park at the deadend and walk to the lake.
