Jim,

 

My wife and I did some birding in the Allegan State Game Area on Saturday,
June 23. We found a couple interesting things, but I'm not sure if they are
unusual enough to be posted. If you decide they are, please forward on to
Mich-listers. Thanks.

 

In the Allegan State Game Area on Saturday, June 23, we found an Upland
Sandpiper and two singing Dickcissels. The Upland Sandpiper was sitting on
top of a utility pole along 118th Avenue approximately 1/4 mile east of the
Farm Unit Headquarters. One of the Dickcissels was in the "Bobolink Field"
along 59th Street just south of 118th Avenue. The other Dickcissel was
singing from a utility line along the east side of 58th Street between 116th
and 117th Avenues.
