I observed an adult Laughing Gull at the end of Lebourdais Rd, Bay County, as it flew along the Saginaw Bay shoreline. The dark-mantled, hooded, adult gull was flying into the face of a northerly wind and was heading in the direction of Nayanquing Point. It entertained the idea of joining a group of gulls and terns on the beach but continued on to the north.
You can reach this location by taking I-75 north from Bay City to the Linwood Rd exit and turn right (east). Turn right on M-13 (traffic light) and Lebourdais Rd is roughly one half mile south of Linwood Rd. Turn left on Lebourdais and go to the bay.
Good birding!
