Michigan Listers folks:
Have been following posts over the past several months, and have a few
queries:
I will be co-leading a group from southeastern WI to the UP this coming
weekend. Any updates or suggestions for the great birds reported over the
last few weeks (for which no updates have appeared during the last week)
would be greatly appreciated.
The Ontario list shows a Gyrfalcon being seen some days ago on the Ontario
side of the St. Mary's River, in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. I wrote to Ken
McIlwrick, the gentleman who saw this bird; he graciously suggested to me
that it might be seen from the MI side of the river as follows: "The best
place to look from the Sault Edison Power Station. You can see a lot of the
River from there. Also go to the Sugar Island Ferry for another view
perspective." If any MI birders should find this bird, please post this
week!
Thanks in advance for any additional help or suggestions.
