Birders-
The Black-throated Gray Warbler has been visible all morning today, 18 Jan
2007, at the southwest corner of the parking lot at 1345 Monroe Ave NW in
Grand Rapids. It appears to be a female. Two photos of the bird can be
viewed at (scroll down the page):

It is associating with a chickadee flock, and nearly all of the chickadees
are now using the platform feeder I put up this morning (viewed from atop
the railroad berm near the dumpster), however the warbler has not yet
visited the suet to my knowledge. The warbler has passed within a few feet
of the feeder several times, but does not seem to recognize it as food.
Hopefully it will it soon. If you are not seeing the warbler, walk a little
ways south and scan down toward the river bank.
If you visit, please sign the log on my door at Suite 210- in the far
(northeast) corner of the second floor- there's a chance I'll be in the
office too. Good luck!
