YES, Black-throated Gray Warbler, Kent Co, 18 Jan 07

Folks-

My stroke of good luck continues!  I was able to refind (and thankfully, 
photograph) the Black-throated Gray Warbler this morning, 18 Jan 07, behind 
my office buiding in Grand Rapids, Kent Co.  I found the bird around 10 AM, 
associating loosely with a chickadee flock along the BANKS of the Grand 
River, often very low in branches overhanging the water, occasionally 
higher.  The exact location is 42.986863N, 85.6721194W .  Go to 
http://maps.google.com/ and punch in the coordinates exactly as I typed 
them, then hit "hybrid" and zoom in.

SPECIFIC DIRECTIONS
The bird is located at 1345 Monroe Ave NW, which is reached by taking 131 to 
Grand Rapids, exiting at Leonard (this is the first exit north of I-196), 
taking Leonard east across the Grand River and turning immediately left 
(north) onto Monroe St.  1345 is on the left hand side about 1/3 mile ahead. 
  Park BEHIND the building and walk up onto the old railroad tracks, and 
walk to the south, scanning patiently as you go, especially if you encouter 
the chickadee flock.  You may need to walk all the way south to Leonard St, 
or potentially to the north of the building, and be patient because the bird 
clearly is moving aroud a fair bit (like when I saw it yesterday).

I have put out two feeders and 4 peanut suet blocks, and I think there's a 
good chance that once the chickadees find the feeders, this bird will become 
a regular visitor to the suet.  Both feeders are overhanding the railroad 
tracks, 1 is a platform feeder at the south end of the parking lot, the 
other a tube feeder at the north end.  The platform feeder also has peanuts.

Lastly, my office is suite 210, so please come by and sign the sheet on my 
door or let me know if you saw it.  This suite is on the 2nd floor at the 
far northeast corner of the buildling.
