Ottawa County Great Black-backed Gull and Northern Shrike

We got a good start on our 2007 list with a Great Black-backed Gull 
today on Lake Macatawa off Kollen Park about 11:00 AM. Soon after 
observing, a Bald Eagle flew in and chased the gulls into the air. We 
watched the GBBG fly west toward Lake Michigan and did not see where it 
landed. There was also a late migration Double Crested Cormorant in the 
area.

On Blair St. and 104th Ave, we found a Northern Shrike about 1/2 mile 
east of 104th on the north side of the road.
