king eider - NO

I looked for the king eider in Ottawa County for several hours Saturday afternoon with no luck.  All the ice is now gone from the mouth of the Grand River and there are many birds on Lake Michigan as well as in the river.  Lots of long-tailed ducks (one flock of over 1500) as well as the usual winter ducks.  I also ran into several other birders who also had not seen the eider.
