Hoary Redpoll Shiawassee Co 12-24

I had a single Hoary Redpoll with a flock of 30+ Common Redpolls at and  near 
the feeders on Ruess Road just south of Winegar Road in southwest  Shiawassee 
County today. The feeders are in the back corner of the yard and are  visible 
from the road. The flock spent much of the time in the bare trees in the  
yard and across the road. The HORE was obvious: frosty white overall, no visible  
streaking on rump or undertail, limited streaking on sides, tiny bill, small 
red  cap, porpoise-like forehead.
