UP Rare Bird Report for April 30, 2007
Migration is still gearing up, and many new migrants have been reported in the last week, though we have yet to see a large push of sparrows back to the UP. Notable has been a good movement of Canvasbacks through the UP. Warblers are trickling in and include Palm, Black-throated Green & Orange-crowned. Other migrants back this week include American Bittern, Upland Sandpiper, Pectoral Sandpiper, Blue-headed Vireo, House Wren, Brown Thrasher and White-crowned Sparrow. I have updated the 2007 photo gallery at www.UPBirders.org including a picture of the Eurasian Wigeon.
