Moorhen at LEMP - Wayne County: 9/12

Good afternoon,

Following a tip from Walt Pawloski, I re-located a young Common Moorhen at Lake Erie Metropark late this morning. Walt had three a short time before.

After entering the park, keep to the right and follow the parkway to Cove Point Picnic Area.  The birds were located in the marsh on the left side (north) of the bridge.

I have birded LEMP for over 12 years.  This is my first for the park. Walt has only 3 three records over 16 years. A very tough county bird overall.
