Hi Birders,
Ray Sischo and I just returned from Big Bay where we saw the vermilion flycatcher immediately at about 9:00 A.M. this Thanksgiving morning. Flying out from a tree branch to get a morning breakfast in the early morning sunlight the bird was a beautiful sight to behold as its colors were in brilliant display. Ray had a new lifer and we were thankful for seeing the flycatcher again in our fantastic November weather. Good birding and happy Thanksgiving! Louie Taccolini
P.S. Ray did indicate to me that the green-trailed towhee was sitting in a shrub at his home, three houses away from mine, and would be back for it's main Thanksgiving dinner at my place......Italian "a la carte."
