Today Alan Ryff and I saw a juvenile/first winter Black-legged Kittiwake in Port Huron. We discovered it around 1:30 PM and it was still present when we left the site at 3:45 PM. It was with a flock of about 150 Bonaparte's Gulls located on the breakwater that is at the end of Riverview Street between the Coast Guard Station and the paper factory. The kittiwake floated down the river and then flew back upstream multiple times so we had excellent flying and swimming views. It also briefly rested on the breakwater which afforded us standing views as well.
