Short-eared Owls Continue, Muskegon County

Birders,

 

Two Short-eared Owls were seen this evening at the Muskegon Wastewater
property. They were hunting in the traditional location, south of Apple Ave.
(M-46) and west of  the Laketon Rd./ Swanson Rd. intersection, near the
model airplane field. The birds were first seen about 5:30 PM, while the
light was still fairly good and both flew very close to where I stood, so
the view of these beautiful owls was stunning.
