Yellow Rails in the UP

I am doing research at Seney National Wildlife Refuge this summer on 
breeding yellow rails.  We have not been able to locate yellow rails on the 
refuge except for 3 around the first week of June.  However they have 
stopped calling so I am back to square one.  Does anybody know of other 
places in the UP where yellow rails have been heard this year or recent 
years?  I would like to get a feel of acceptable breeding habitat to narrow 
my search image.
