Birders,
This morning I took a long (9 miles) hot walk at Pte. Mouillee. I saw very
few shorebirds, with a few Dunlin, Semipalmated, and Least Sandpipers in
Cell 2, and a similar mix, plus two White-rumped Sandpipers, at the south
end of the Long Pond Unit, where I also had five Red-necked Phalaropes fly
low overhead toward the southeast (heading to Cell 2?).

Every day, the hummingbird eats its own weight in food.
You may wonder how it weighs the food. It doesn't.
It just eats another hummingbird.
