Black-billed Magpie - YES - 12/31

I stopped by the location of the BBMA and was told that a couple of people
saw it at 11:00 a.m.The bird was seen on the top of a pine near the carcass.
I left around 12:30 and people were still watching for it. I will note that
considerable time was spent all morning waiting for it, but it only appeared
briefly at 11:00. Also, there's a possibility that human presence may
prevent it from actually visiting the carcass, so caution should be made to
conceal yourself across the trail as to stay somewhat out of sight.

Directions are pretty much right on. After bearing right at the fork at the
bottom of Mt. Bohemia, it's less than 2 miles to the Little Gratiot River.
First you'll pass a small park on the left, then cross the river, and then
turn right immeadiately after the bridge onto what is actually a snowmobile
trail (not enough snow right now). You can drive down this a little ways
until you reach the intersection with the telephone poles. Here there are a
couple of carcasses on the right hand side.

Good Luck!
