W. Grebe, RT Loons, P. Sandpiper - Berrien Co. - 12/22

Greetings,

A few highlights from yesterday's New Buffalo Area CBC in Berrien County include a Western (type) Grebe reported offshore of the main beach/parking area of Warren Dunes State Park, a Purple Sandpiper at the base of the north jetty in New Buffalo, and at least 13 Red-throated Loons. (One was off New Buffalo and the rest were seen from overlooks at the ends of Pier Road in Lakeside and Townline Road in Union Pier.).

As far as I know, attempts to relocate the grebe in the afternoon were not successful....
