Mich-listers and Mich-Chatters:

About 2:45 Sunday afternoon (Aug. 27) John Will, Dave Jacobs, Jim
McGrath and Norn Siegfried found a juvenal Red Knot busily feeding on
the outlet pipe off the center dike near the north end of the East
pond. They left quietly without disturbing the bird after some great,
close looks and hope those who follow will to do the same.

Later, around 6:30, the Deputy Sheriff reported a Whimbrel at the
Wastewater. He saw it in the main ditch across from the Administration
Building (White Road) about 50 feet from the newly rebuilt driveway
around 6:30 pm.

Finally, Mike Moran reports that someone left their *** SPOTTING SCOPE
*** on the dikes Sunday. Mike took it to the Administration Building
where Steve Barnard has it in his office now.
