Birders,
The migration today was exceptionally slow in the face of howling east
winds, but a few decent birds popped up. A single nonbreeding adult BLACK
TERN was flying around the tip at first light, but was not seen after that.
Around 1:40, a juvenile RED KNOT sailed in along the beach with a
Sanderling, but was not relocated in a later search attempt. Finally, a
juvenile PEREGRINE FALCON was seen both early in the morning and
mid-afternoon hunting on the beach.
