Short-eared Owls, Hillsdale Co.

At dusk yesterday (Mar. 29) I saw 3 Short-eared Owls at the traditional
Tripp Road location in southeastern Hillsdale County.  Two of them flew into
a tree about 500 yards west of Tripp Road and 200 yards north of Burt Road
at about 7:05 pm and were still there when I left the area at about 7:20 pm.
The third owl flew low across Tripp about 250 yards north of Burt at 7:15.
I had arrived "on site" around 5:45 pm and had seen nothing else of interest
except a single adult male Harrier and several meadowlarks.
