WPBO highlights, 15-21 March 2005

Greetings,

On March 15, Calvin Brennan started the WPBO hawk count.  March can 
be pretty unforgiving at the Point, but Calvin has had a few migrants 
to help pass the time.

So far, he has tallied 12 Bald Eagles, 19 Northern Goshawks, 4 Golden 
Eagles, and 1 Merlin.  There have also been good numbers of Pine 
Grosbeaks and Common Redpolls at the feeders, along with Hoary 
Redpoll(s) on most days.  There have also been a few fly-over 
White-winged Crossbills.
