Greater White-fronted and Cackling Geese in Ionia Co., 9 Mar 05

Greetings,

This morning I was able to relocate the Cackling Goose and 2 Greater 
White-fronted Geese reported yesterday afternoon by Kevin Thomas. 
The geese were in the Grand River just north of David Highway (easily 
viewed from the road).  Kevin's directions are provided below.

All three of these geese were on the south side of the bridge that 
crosses the Grand River on David Hwy. on the west side of the river 
in the yard of the house that is there.  This is a good area for 
geese but they do move around a lot from
here. They feed in the fields in the area and they tend to roost in the
river. This section of David Hwy is just west of Divine Hwy and east of
Staley Rd.
