Listers,

Karen and I made a quick drive through Muskegon Wastewater late Sunday
morning. I did not have a scope, so I did not spend too much time working
on the large gull flocks. Rough estimated numbers follow:

1 Rough-legged Hawk (plus one in Ionia County, along I-96 near exit 59).
Both light morph.
6 Bald Eagle - some white headed, some mottled.
2000 gulls mix of ring-billed (80%) and herring.
500 Canada Geese no cackling types noted, but most were of the interior
subspecies, I believe.
100 Gadwall
2 Common Goldeneye
12 Mallard
12 American Black Duck

Also, a Red-shouldered Hawk flew across Apple Dr., in Ottowa County (near a
large Alcoa plant). I can¹t give exact directions as we had gotten off our
path and were without DeLorme.

I thought I heard a pipit at the wastewater as well, but I all saw on the
ground were larks.
