Hi
(2nd attempt to post).
The CHUCK-WILL'S-WIDOW, present since May 16th was heard as of 10:30pm on
June 26th off Jones Road near intersection of Long Lake Road.
At least 1 EURASIAN COLLARED DOVE remained (and a hybrid) at Three Oaks as
opf Saturday, 25 June.
Other interesting out-of-season records from Berrien: DARK-EYED JUNCO (25
June, Warren Dunes SP, Andre Moncrief) and RED-BREASTED NUTHATCH (17-25
June, near Berrien Springs, Alison Village). The former is the first ever
June record for Berrien, and only the third summer record. All 3 summer
records are from dunes area.
DICKCISSELS are common in right habitat in Berrien-Cass cos, and probably
most places of south 1/2 of Lower Peninsula.
