I forgot to post this yesterday. Darlene Friedman and I birded Hillsdale Co Sunday and found a few interesting birds. There was a Yellow-breasted Chat on Skuse Rd between Gilbert and Tripp. There was a White-eyed Vireo on Skuse Rd west of Tripp. There were three different Henslow's Sparrows. One was on Union Rd east of Carncross, one was on Tripp between Prattville and Burt, and one was on Burt west of Tripp. We also had a Marsh Wren near Camden (I don't remember the road and didn't write it down but I think it was probably somewhere on Burt Rd). Finally for those of you who know more about butterflies than I do, we saw 4-5 Giant Swallowtails. This is the most I've ever seen in one day in Michigan. Is this an unusual total?
