Eurasian Tree Sparrow - Cass County - Yes on 12/1/05

Birders,
 
This morning around 11:45, Mary Wyatt, Becky Csia, Joyce Leppard and I  saw 
the Eurasian Tree Sparrow near the home of David and Minu Johnson,  in 
Jefferson Township. The address is 26047, M-60, Cassopolis. House is on east  side of 
road, about 3 to 4 miles south of the village of Cassopolis.  After  arriving 
around 10:45, we spent an hour searching around the Johnsons' house and  the 
house and barn to the west.  The bird was finally spotted by Mary at  the house 
to the west in a shrub next to the driveway with a small group of  House 
Sparrows.  Good looks were had by all.
 
 
There was also a very nice mix of ducks at Stone Lake including Redhead,  
Canvasback, 
Bufflehead, Ring-necked, American Wigeon, Scaup, and Ruddy.
