Avocets--New Buffalo--25/Sep

Hi,

Better late than never: Kip Miller, members of the Berrien Birding Club and 
myself saw 3 AMERICAN AVOCETS at New Buffalo Public Beach on Sat (25 Sep) 
morning. One soon became seperated from the other 2, and we watched the 2 
fly around offshore for quite some time. At one point they landed on the 
water--like ducks! (I personally have never seen this happen). I suppose 
these 2 birds could have made it up to Tiscornia by afternoon, as reported 
by Jan Shillito.

Kip  & co also saw a JAEGER offshore, unidentified to species.
