1-2 RED KNOTS were present in the morning of 12 Sep at New Buffalo. One bird
flew from the public beach area onto the north shore of the Galien River
channel (west of parking area). Either the same bird circled arund (after
going south), or another individual came in from the north and landed on the
While this was going on a juvy PIPING PLOVER flew by overhead. I do not know
whether ;lang bands were present. It never landed. (Thanks to dave Vinnedge
for being the "sacrificial birder".)
At Three Oaks today (12 Sep) AMERICAN WIGEON (first this fall); both TEALS.
