Howdy Listers,
A 1st Winter Harris's Sparrow as been in the parking lot of the Lower Harbor Breakwall here in Marquette since yesterday (Sun.) morning. The bird was seen again today and remains quite cooperative. It has been feeding on a lawn with a mixed sparrow flock, comprised mostly of Tree Sparrows. They tend to hang out in-between the Parking lot for the Breakwall and the Coast Guard Station just to the north.
I also had a 2nd Harris Sparrow today in with some Fox Sparrows on the north end of Presque Isle Park along the road.
Other decent sightings have been 2 White-rumped Sandpipers at the mouth of the Dead River on Saturday, and 3 Boreal Chickadees and 2 Grey Jays along the Peshekee River yesterday.
Good Birding
