The previously reported Cackling Geese were still present at the Lakewood
Wastewater facility in Ionia Co. The pair that Kevin mentioned below were
in the same location as he described. Around 9:30 AM, a large flock of
Canada Geese flew in to the far east pond and the third bird was located at
that time. It was nice to compare the size of this individual to the
Canada Geese around it. The Snow Goose was also present in the far east
pond.

At least 3 Cackling Geese were still at the Lakewood Wastewater Ponds this
morning. One pair was on the south side of the large middle pond and
another one flew in with a large flock of Canada Geese and landed on the
east side of the large middle pond. There was still a Snow Goose along the
east side of the large middle pond too. For those looking for the geese,
most of the geese arrive at the between 9:30 and 10:00 in the morning. The
one pair that has been cooperative for most people is probably roosting at
the ponds. This pair tends to hang out by themselves most of the time.
Good luck.
