Lapland Longspurs - Charlevoix Co.

Birders,
 
On Sunday, Oct. 3rd, and again yesterday, Tuesday, Oct. 5th I got
the chance to watch several hundred HORNED LARKS in a farmer's
field just south of Charlevoix High School on County Road C-65.
Among the birds were numerous LAPLAND LONGSPURS (approximately 1 
for every 10 Horned Larks).  I also had (1) SAVANNAH SPARROW perch
next to me in the ditch where I attempted to digiscope the birds.
 
I will post pics as soon as I return south this weekend.  
Winds still strong...
