Howdy Michlisters,
I had a Hudsonian Godwit this afternoon on the Stonington Peninsula in Delta County. The bird was in a flooded plowed field along the westernmost county road that runs north to south (532 I think...), 5 miles north of Peninsula Point. I also had a Black-backed Woodpecker along this road 7 miles north of the Godwit field.
Shorebird numbers were good down at Peninsula Point with highlights being a pair of Whimbrel and 3 White-Rumped Sandpipers. There was also a female Connectiecut Wabler in the cedars at the end of the point.
At Portage Marsh just south of Escanaba (also in Delta County) were a Least Bittern and a Willow Flycatcher (Good birds in the Yoop).
Good Birding
