At Tawas Point, 2 PIPING PLOVERS were found. They were located near the windbreak fence as one walks onto the beach from the pavillion. Also present, was one GREAT BLACK-BACKED GULL feeding among the Herring Gulls bayside. In addition, 3 LAPLAND LONGSPURS were resting along the shore bayside about halfway between the point and the lighthouse.
