The message I conveyed earlier was via a call home. To be more complete: The Lazuli Bunting came to the feeder and stayed what seemed like several minutes, showing both sides and back. The street and house are easy to find. The owner (who we were lucky to have come out and talk to us and invite us into his garage to peek out the open window) says it is very regular at the feeder. A gorgeous bird. To repeat others, though--unless the owner comes out to invite you in, stay in your car.

The feeder is under cedar trees--it is wooden, only a couple feet off the ground, about a foot and a half square (as I recall). The weather is cloudy to rainy, and my guess is that the bunting will stay around at least through Sunday. It is so gorgeous I hope lots of you get to see it. Good luck. Joan Wolfe
