A Kentucky Warbler was at Warren Dunes SP this morning about 8:00AM.
It was not between the two boardwalks on Yellow Birch Trail as
previously reported but was in a ravine to the west of the same trail
about 300-500 yards in from the sign 100 yards or so past the car
turnaround at the end of Floral Lane. There were large numbers of other
migranst present as well, including 2 different Golden-winged Warblers,
2 different Mourning Warblers, a Cape May Warbler, a Bay-breasted
Warbler, an Eastern Wood Pewee, a Louisiana Waterthrush (and at least 10
Northerns), Hooded Warbler and 1, probably 2 Prairie Warblers. 22
species of warblers total - and I missed Yellow-rumped Warbler!! Also
missed but seen by others I talked to were Blue-winged and Blackburnian
Warblers. All were seen or heard from the Yellow Birch Trail except the
Hooded, which was at the beginning of the Blue Jay Trail and the
Prairies, whch were near the end of the Blue Jay Trail.
